Sin is a conceptual post-rock album that represents a descent into the underworld and explores the moral erosion opposite to Ranges’ earlier work, particularly in contrast to 33 and Cardinal Winds. Instead of ascension or moral clarity, Sin embodies imbalance, disconnection, indulgence, and the consequences of a misaligned will.

The concept draws heavy inspiration (not as a literal retelling, but as a thematic reckoning) from Dante Alighieri’s Inferno. Each composition corresponds to one of the Seven Deadly Sins, presenting a sonic and emotional descent through isolation, distortion, and inner ruin.

Sonically, the record leans into darkness and intensity rather than resolution or uplift, with visual motifs grounded in red (damnation), black (void), and white (cold judgment).
