Post-rock/ambient music duo the American Dollar were formed in Queens, New York in 2005 by John Emanuele (drums/keyboards) and Richard Cupolo (guitars/keyboards). The duo's moody, evocative instrumental soundscapes have been used as incidental music for numerous television shows and movies, and the group has played concerts across the globe.
